Have you checked the Hugos and other SciFi awards the past few years? They’ve all been taken over by the SJW diversity crowd. All women,poc,etc.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not against women and minority writers and their POV. One of my favorite books was written by a woman, “Up The Walls OF The World” and another written by a black man, “Dhalgren.” If it’s good it’s good.
But the list of winners and nominees is way out of proportion to their race and quality. It’s just not possible.
It’s just like watching TV and all the commercials are dominated by black people all out of proportion to their population numbers.
A favorite short story is “And Then There Were None”, by Eric Frank Russell.
