The 68-year-old had about 382,000 followers on Twitter.
His recent posts had included attacks on Prime Minister Boris Johnson, US infectious disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci and the philanthropist Bill Gates.
In a blog, Mr Icke said was banned for a tweet he had made about plans to pilot city-wide coronavirus testing in Liverpool.
In April, an interview in which he discussed the pandemic was broadcast on local TV station London Live.
It led the regulator Ofcom to rule the channel's owner had broken broadcasting rules because the segment had failed to sufficiently challenge his "unsubstantiated views". [!!!!]
Twitter's rules do not include a general ban on misinformation.

I haven’t read his covid tweets, but is Twitter surprised that a man that believes “Reptilians” are ruling the Earth has different opinions?
Have they blocked him for stating that aliens are amongst us?
I’ve not seen his COVID ideas but the guy is complete loon.
What’s sad is that the maharajahs of media think that consumers in the marketplace of ideas are unable to make the determination that loony people have loony ideas.
This hurts the marketplace of ideas. Indeed, it destroys it.
My theory on Icke is that he has used the “reptilian alien” stuff to protect him from the establishment.
Once you can be dismissed as a harmless crazy, it leaves you free to discuss other topics without worrying about retribution.
Apparently that strategy failed in this case!

Interesting. I have often thought that the establishment generates the more ahem extreme and interesting conspiracy theories to create clouds of doubt around all conspiracies (which obviously exist in the real world).
But to your point, that cuts both ways doesn’t it?
“Hey, don’t take me seriously....I’m one of those reptile loons”
Fascinating.
Ju jitsu at its finest.
They ultimately got to Bill Cooper, though. That much I know.
I have read a lot of the Icke stuff.
Love him or hate him, but he is off the charts brilliant.
I read everything, and learn from everyone.
I never allow anyone to tell me what I am _supposed_ to think.

We used to laugh at the “Harmless Cranks”...
Now big tech Legitimizes them by Censoring them....
Fascinating!
If lizard people exist, and they control stuff, they would censor someone like Icke..
Its amazing, theyve mastered intergalactic travel and shapeshifting but not David Icke and Twitter...
I thought it was a compliment.
Icke is a lunatic.
