There are some states where employment is at will. No reason needs to be given. If anything, security risk, disruptive behavior. I have seen some liberal HR departments make stuff up to get rid of people. Look up Performance Improvement Programs, a common trick by HR to put an employee in a no win situation.

Thats where the Performance Improvement Program comes in. The HR trick is to make up some deficiency. A claim that people feel threatened by the subject employee. You can make up all sorts of head trips with this. Have him go through an increasing number of management employee counseling sessions where it not only messes with his head, it interferes with his doing his job. Have more hoops that he needs to jump through. Liberal HR departments do this all the time with employees deemed to be a problem even if the employee is a high performer and works well with the team. Except in this case you are cutting dead weight that could be a high liability. Just document everything, be creative, be ruthless.
We have a new neighbor down my street of suburbia. One afternoon a few weeks ago he let his very young non verbal toddler wander unattended into car traffic on our street. Me and a neighbor stopped our cars, corralled her and got her back inside her house. Then a couple weeks later I see Biden stickers on his cars. If that happens again with him neglecting the kids I’m calling the sheriff. No questions asked.

I had similar thoughts mine were a little different that was to stop spending money Wildly and spending it frugally eating out less instead of going to the movies every week seeing something that I want to see and just not giving a damn as to whether the business will survive and try and avoid China and companies that are gong ho on China like Wal Mart is.
