I made a big mistake in my earlier posting-—
The sentence should read “while in 52 of the 67 counties Republican registration increased.”
I just finished a comparison between 2016 and the June 2020 Pennsylvania voter registration numbers.
Here is what I find interesting.
In 60 of the 67 counties Democrat registration declined while in 15 of the 67 counties Republican registration increased.
However, in these five counties Democrat registration increased and Republican registration dropped. Why did such an oddity happen?

Chester
Delaware
Lancaster
Montgomery
I know that PA cleaned up their voter registration rolls in 2018 and that would explain why the total statewide registration dropped 123,683. But in four years to see Democrat registration go up in these five counties and Republican registration go down is hard to understand.

Hard to answer without higher resolution information. Could be as simple as being very efficient in removing Rs when proper, and not removing any D’s... with two years to accumulate a difference. Fraud in registrations or aggressive registration drives ? Some murky lines. I’d be very interested to see how many Rs voted Biden and how that varies from one region to another. In prior instances of fraud, that was common cheat... straight R tickets... except the D at the top. Saw that live on TV as they poked out chads in Florida recount to shift Bush votes to Gore... or to spoil Bush ballots not Gore ballots ? Look at the history of fraud... and see how what they did to cheat in the past would be done now in different places/times with the same LOGIC... not necessarily the same physical function.
