I’ve sat by and held my tongue as I was called deplorable and a bitter clinger and told that I didn’t build that. I’ve been called a racist and a xenophobe and a chump and even an “ugly folk.” I’ve been told that I have privilege, and that I have inherent bias because of my skin color, and that my beloved husband and father are part of a horrible patriarchy. Not one g-dd--n bit of that is true, but if I dare say anything about it, it will be used as evidence of my racism and white fragility.
Raised to be a Republican, I held my nose and voted for Bush, the Texas-talking blue blood from Connecticut who lied us into 2 wars and gave us the unpatriotic Patriot Act. I voted for McCain, the sociopathic neocon songbird “hero” that torpedoed the attempt to kill the Obamacare that’s killing my family financially. I held it again and voted for Romney, the vulture capitalist skunk that masquerades as a Republican while slithering over to the Democrat camp as often as they’ll tolerate his oily, loathsome presence.
And I voted for Trump, who, if he did nothing else, at least gave a resounding Bronx cheer to the richly deserving smug hypocrites of DC. Thank you for that Mr. President, on behalf of all of us nobodies. God bless you for it.

There Liberal Dems got caught with their pants down in 2016. They have made up for that error in judgement. Just as we knew they would,. Hopefully, Trump knew it too and has a plan in place.
Speaking for myself. I was a newly college graduated young man at 22 and thought marriage was the right thing to do, 21 years later we divorced. The ex is uber Liberal and her father was a small city cop. What pains me today is both daughters are similar.
I asked her why not to long ago and she informed me she was always a liberal. I didn’t know or probably didn’t care at the time. I am blaming my hormones...

You have my sympathies. No way in hell could I be married to a democrat.
I was raised in a fairly centrist (leaning conservative, especially on my father’s part) household and never really considered myself one side or the other until I was in my mid-thirties. I can look back now at a couple of very significant relationships and realize, “Oh! Now I get it... no wonder that didn’t work out and thank God it didn’t.”

He’s been fighting them all for 5 years. Prayer and patriots support him and we don’t give up. The alternative is to lose our country to China -that isn’t option.

If the abomination stands, make sure to have her be the one to open the utility and property tax bills first, be the one to gas up the family cars, learn to change her recipes when the ingredients are in *shortage* (because reasons).
When the appliances work poorly due to Green New Deal Regulations or when the costs for replacement mean doing without or getting inferior models, when all the regulations are brought back on steroids, make sure she knows who is to blame.
I’m a woman and you have my condolences. Some people can just get irrational and there is no dealing with it. I suggest withdrawal. She’ll likely want to know why, so then you can tell her. After all: Trump is responsible for all liberal angst, so why can’t Hidey Ho be responsible for ours?

If all else fails, claim the basement and finish it if necessary or claim any spare room you have and tell her to put her visiting friends/relatives up at a motel so they aren’t subjected to you.

I bought into the American dream and am now part of the last generation to live it. I considered it an honor to serve my country in the military. There I swore that I would fight all enemies foreign and domestic.
I am still prepared to die on my feet preserving the republic that our founding fathers gave us. I refuse to surrender on my knees to some jackass that demands reparations yet didn't have the damned decency to thank my great grandfather for giving his ancestors the freedom he is selling for those few pieces of gold..
