Of course... but in such circumstances the outcome is never assured and in an uprising there is always a jockeying for power... the effort must be organized and properly directed. Militias are fine and so are the Three Percenters but such splinter groups cannot prevail in victory over an organized autocratic govt authority - which S0r0s and others have been preparing in terror training camps in Syria - among other preps.
Foreign mercs in a foreign country, the militia would swell. The mercs fight for pay, not freedom. Very few military would fight on that side. I like those odds. And it wouldn't happen, blue helmets would bring everyone off the pine.
