I think they may.
This nation has been voting for more than two hundred years with the “honor system” of voting: few I.D.s required, no cross-checking between states, little attention to voter rolls.
That hasn’t changed, but the “honor” part of over half of the populace has.
Fair elections only happen under fair people. Too many of our fellow citizens are neither fair nor honorable.

The Founders said that our system of government can only work for a moral people. They were right.
