Republicans pick up 10-15 congressional seats, hold the Senate where they were competing on 2.5X the number of races, have record voter turn out and new registrations, and Trump regularly draws crowds of 20-30K when he visits.

Basically the Roy Moore Effect. There were just enough people who otherwise agree with us, but were sick of Trump’s ‘antics’, at least as they saw it. These ‘purists’ were embarrassed by Trump to the extent of not wanting him in the White House anymore, and damn the consequences (similar to conservatives here who won’t support RINOs in November elections).
Add to that Trump won Florida by about 300k votes more than 2016, he won OH and IA convincingly, he won bellwether counties all over but miraculously lost overnight after being way ahead in a few swing states.
