Not directed at the OP, but this is a stupid article. Donald J Trump ran for POTUS because like the rest of us, he could see the country being destroyed by the Obama/Clinton/Biden cabal and the lunatics that support them. He had already accomplished more in his lifetime than ANY other politician in the Presidency, the Senate, or the House. Like us he was sick of them and perhaps a bit fearful that the American Dream was eroding toward socialism. In fact, he has saved us from that fate at enormous expense to himself and his family, and I don’t mean financially. To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, we need this man, he fights. Let’s hope we keep him.

But it’s true that the media went all after Trump in the 16 win and nobody seemed to take him seriously even on election night...then they were shocked, shocked. That was referring to Jerry Ford...who never actually ran for President or even veep before getting the office because he was elevated to VP when Agnew resigned, then Nixon followed suit. (And went on to lose to the peanut farmer.) But here it can be applied to Trump who easily beat The Smartest Woman In The World.
