Where I voted they gave me a finger rubber, and then the only thing I touched was the signature signer and the voting machine - with my “poindexter”. And they checked my ID! Though the kid did NOT aks me to take my maks off come to think of it.
I thought it was "Pointdexter."
In Texas, in my county, we didn't take off masks, but gave driver's license to one person, they scanned, matched against voter role, printed slip on adhesive paper, adhesive paper went next to my name on signature book, I signed, they gave me a slip with a four digit code and an unsharpened pencil, told me to use eraser for the touch screen. Went to booth, no paper at all, but entire ballot displayed and had to push a separate button to complete voting process.
