There’s hope... just read
this on FR: The following states have signed into law the National Popular Vote for the Electoral College: WA, OR, CA, NM, CO, IL, DC, MD, NY, DE, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, HI. That’s 196 Electoral votes, if Trump wins the popular vote - and ALL of them are Dem strongholds. That means that their EC votes would go to Trump.
IF THIS IS TRUE, then these states would all go R. I would so love to see this happen!
The National Popular Vote Initiative doesn’t go into effect until enough states to make 270 electoral votes agree to the initiative, and Congress approves it, as it must do with all interstate compacts.
