Well, I am seriously going to brag today. This is what I've been doing the past month. I refinished the frame last year and backed it with chicken wire and hung it over my dining buffet. It's now my seasonal decorating board. I mostly used left overs of Brown Sheep Lambs pride. I cut up a thrift store plaid shirt for the Grateful backing and made a bunch of bows from strips and one fabric pumpkin.
This is the table center which I did first. If you look in the background you can see the frame with my gardening themed decorations from summer.
And then I made a door wreath crocheted on an embroidery hoop.
And I still had some yarn and those pumpkins are addictive to make, so I didn't stop. Then I found some variegated crochet thread at a thrift store so I made a doily and a jar band.
I also made some stuff for my bestie's coffee table.

I’ve also had trouble with using cotton for face scrubbers. They don’t dry very quickly and they mildew. I’ve also tried cotton acrylic blends or polyester blends, but I’ve found they tend to shed too much for me.
I like the idea of trying a two ply cotton or a cotton thread. I had thought of maybe trying a bamboo cotton blend. Those yarns/threads are just so thin, requiring such small hooks. I usually don’t like working with the small stuff, but since face scrubbers are so small, I’m willing to try it.

Linen, hemp or wool are good for face scrubbers because they exfoliate better and dry faster than cotton yarns.
For thin yarns I just double strand. Wool makes very nice soap saver sacks, also.

Love the shawls. I have been on a shawl kick lately. I am finishing one for myself. I need to purchase yarn for my next shawl, for my niece.

Thanks, I’ve got some hanks of linen yarn. I’ll try using that.

Maybe make a face-scrubber sized net, and stick a piece of luffa or other material inside?

Good morning, and thanks for the thread (hee hee)!
And the mental health break! 🤪
Love that sheep meme. It would be great on a mug and/or tee shirt!

Very pretty! Love the snowflakes! They would look great attached together to make a runner, too - like you can do with lace doilies, which has been on my To-Do Project List for-EVER! ;)
Better start now for NEXT year, LOL!

Gorgeous, all! I love the idea of having ONE thing (your frame) - and decorating it seasonally. :)

There's a cotton yarn combo I've been using for kitchen wash cloths by 'Peaches & Cream' called 'Scrub Off' that I just discovered. I'm liking the results so far:

Thanks Diana. I don’t think I’ve seen this yarn yet. I’ll be on the look out.

Great project for kids or someone new to sewing. My Mom taught me to sew by making elastic-waisted bell-bottom pants. They were brown with HUGE yellow daisies all over them; 1968? I wore them all the time and amazingly no 'cooler kids' beat me up for wearing them, either, LOL!
