Apparently my translator microbes are working for this site so I can fill in the blanks. It seems that the President pledged $500 billion over a four year period to actually do something in black communities rather than just increase the amount of social program spending that would only do more of whatever is currently being done including keeping people right where they are. Ice Cube met with him about it and made suggestions which the President listened to and incorporated into the program. Lil Wayne met with the President and approved of what he heard.

As I said the other day, this President does outreach by talking to everyone with the same basic message. Yes, this is program, the Platinum Plan, is targeted at black communities but it's targeted to increase economic activity through increased investments in existing and new businesses, improving healthcare and education including school choice, and public safety not defunding. I'm not naive, there are specific things in there for black communities and it's a lot of money, but it's not pandering. It's not we'll load up your EBTs and give you phones, now shut up. Nor is it, the police are evil and bail is racist, we'll do away with them. I think you're seeing the younger black leaders taking the President up on his "What have you got to lose?" offer.

After 50 years of the Democrats lying to and coming down black folks and giving them handouts it’s a steeper hill to try to educate black folks that the Republican Party has much more of their interest at heart

The point being that having superstars like Lil Wayne or Other very popular black musicians visibly even start to say hey the Republicans are not racist is a huge momentum shift
