I’m a Sig man myself. Are Kimberly guns any good? Where do they rate on the High Point/Taurus scale?

Sig is far superior to Kimber in quality.
Kimber has 1911 models that always seem to have problems. None of my Kimbers shoot without jamming even though they’ve been back to the factory.
I now have a Sig P320. It’s perfect. Thousands of rounds out and never a jam. It is also a unique modular design that I really appreciate. It is extremely easy to thoroughly clean and replace any part if needed.
The 1911 is far too finicky of a design, especially compared to the modern Sig P320 design.
I have Sig and Kimber, Kimber is competition ready out of the box. Both are nice. Kimber are a high end 1911. I don’t own any of their rifles, but the 1911s are top shelf.
We own two Kimber 1911s. They’ve performed flawlessly for us. Ball ammo, hollow points, handloads, all function equally well.
We love ours.

Kimber 1911 models are exquisitely machined. (They should produce a Trump model with MAGA engraving)
Had a Kimber 1911 and sold it. It was nothing special. Now the only auto I have that isn’t a SIG is a 1922 Colt Pocket Hammerless in .380.
Sigs are perfectly reliable, even in some of the pickier calibers like .38 Super.
