I loved the original Star Wars. Space cowboys versus nazis. They brought back the genres woke Hollywood thought they had killed out in the 60's and 70's. Why couldn't they just stick with that?

There were some good books written about the New Republic era and attempts at a revival of the Empire. Why couldn't they have used some of those as plot outlines?

Instead they messed up Luke and Leia and killed off Han to replace them mostly with characters holding little interest for me and plots that made no sense.

The Timothy Zahn books were excellent. Even set Luke up with Mara Jade... Was looking forwards to that...

But... Nope... We get Mary-Sue Palpatine and Emo Vader...

The new Dune movie changing Liet to a woman, Capitalism is bad and the environmental messaging... going to ruin that one.

Wheel of Time series on Amazon... Awesome and diverse books, but not "woke" enough so they have ruined the characters with casting and are changing things to be more "relevant"... Including much more gay sex...

Even if you don’t build your own system, you could probably get a pretty good (”pre-built”) one for under $1200.

Yup, when they divorced Leia and Han and then killed Han off, that was it for me.

And they ruined Luke, too.
