Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is leaving the door open about his football future despite previously saying he planned on heading to the NFL following this his junior season.
Lawrence, the 6-foot-6 passer with the flowing hair, is considered the likely consensus No. 1 pick in next spring's NFL draft.

Dak ain’t boltin’ nowhere until at least May. I actually had pity for the third-stringer on Sunday - looked like he had no bidness on an NFL football field.
I dunno - his a$$hat quotient is stratospheric, I don’t think he’d be able to keep with a team even with the extra seasoning.
Take that NFL cash.
Lawrence is scheduled to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in marketing in December.

If he has his degree go for the draft.
He can make $$$ immediately and still have his degree to fall back on if ever needed
Wisely managed the NFL dollars especially if any guaranteed put him
Years ahead of any other job he would get outside of football
He’s one of the few who was able to come back from that. And he’s paying the price today.
Being #1 overall is a mixed bag. Elway and Manning did well. Elway because he demanded to NOT play for the Colts, Manning because the Colts picked up Tony Dungy as coach and Bill Polian as GM.
Otherwise, you get David Carr and Jeff George. There is a reason a team has the #1 pick; its a sh**** team and a sh**** organization. While any NBA team is only a Larry Bird or Magic Johnson away from being contenders, it takes 20-25 really good players to have a successful NFL team. One guy isn’t going to do it all.
You didn’t have pity for Dalton? It’s not a coincidence he got injured. The offensive line was making it open season on him.
From the looks of Dak's ankle, he isn't bolting anywhere soon.
I should have qualified that with assuming he does recover.
I winced for Dalton, but hes a big boy and can handle himself. The rook just looked scared.
The imploding vikings may get a shot at him. They are 1 and 5 losing to the winless Falcons 2 weeks ago. They suck as bad as anyone with no relief in sight due to injuries bad coaching, and bad general management which includes the Kirk Cousins disaster. They really suck it.
He can make $$$ immediately and still have his degree to fall back on if ever needed
So he can take the $100m contract and if he gets fired or hates football down the road, he can fall back on his BA and work in a bank for 50k year.
I don’t blame this on Cousins, he’s a good QB.
Brady lucked out as a sixth round pick. Belichick said he had no idea Brady was such a good player (nobody else did either), and wasn’t looking for a QB. He simply thought Brady was the best available at that point in the draft.
Belichick said he traded away some of his really late round picks so he could get a second sixth round pick, because he said sometimes you get a good player in the sixth round, but almost never below it.
Very few of these hunks fall back on degrees, it's all about name recognition......LOL!
Oh yeah,I guess the best example would be Andrew Luck. Play a few years and walk away with a pocket full of money.
Degree in what?
Hed be a jerk to stay. Take the millions now or risk a disabling injury in sr ur of college ball
Sure, he'll get his body broken a few times in the process, but can you imagine the endorsement deals he'll get from all the companies still in business in Manhattan ...
On second thought, maybe staying in school another year looks better!
