That would only be true if the Spanish Flu virus (H1N1) has a similar homology of DNA to one of the MMR viruses. The Covid virus is 30% identical to Rubella, which is what they think is conferring the protection.

I talked to my doc about the possible cross-immunity between MMR vaccine and COVID. He ordered a test to see if I am immune to all three (measles, mumps, and rubella). If I’m not immune to all three, he will order an MMR vaccination for me.

I think I had chicken pox and measles as a kid, but not mumps or rubella. So I think I’ll probably be getting the MMR.
