I voted early today. My vote was scanned. Waited about an hour. What’s the Big deal about driving across town?
I always vote early: 7:00am on Election Day. Cant be too careful.
Seriously, I want to put as little space as possible between the counting and the collecting of the counts. There is too much temptation to engage in shenanigans by certain parties if the opportunity presents itself.
Well, I was planning to vote on Nov 3 as I always have done.
But after reading that there might be some shenanigans by my NC Dem governor on voting day re: the COVID lockdown effort which might mean no voting in person that day, I decided to go ahead and vote early today.
THat is a first for me.
I voted at a Senior Center in curbside voting (due to a handicap).
The person helping me was kind and efficient and it did not take me long at all to do curbside voting. The parking lot was, however, full so it might have been a wait for those who were going in to vote.
All I can say is that it feels good to have cast my vote for Trump/Pence and all the other Republicans on the ballot - and it’s done!
I planned the 3rd but bongino called this out. If the lines are long, many won’t wait on the 3rd. I think I am going Friday
I go back and forth with the early voting. I love voting on Election Day and have done so with my husband and kids in the past.
My husband is out voting right now and my daughter is going on Wednesday with her boyfriend who she convinced to register and vote for Trump. She also got two of her girlfriends to do the same. I brought her up right, lol.
My son is also going early because he works on Election day and doesn’t have the time to wait in line.
I have until Saturday to decide. I want to check with the Republican party in my state to see if they need drivers to take people to the polls. If they do, I may vote early so I can do that.
A ballot box was burned in Cali last week. Thats why I vote as close to the determination of a winner as possible.
Seeing as we're about to have another hurricane come up the gulf this week, what happens if another one decides to head toward say Florida early next week?
I get the desire to vote in-person as part of the voting process. But 2020 is not like any year I've ever encountered. I think I would want to make sure my vote made it into the system.
There are some concerns that knowing how many people have voted early gives the fraud machines the information they need to produce enough fake ballots. I don't think there is a clear-cut answer here.
I voted today by paper ballot and scanned it so I feel comfortable. Those in the FL panhandle should VOTE NOW in case Zeta keeps them away from the polls. South Florida could sway the race if people cant get tom polls ij north Florida. Same for Alabama, LA and Miss.
My wife and I voted last Saturday. We’re in probably one of the most Republican parts of North Texas. I’m sure my vote will be counted.
Aside from shenanigans on Election Day, there’s always the very real possibility that something more natural might prevent you from voting that day. Hospitalization and death come to mind.
Now you got me thinking about it.... I would early vote at the same place I would vote nov 3, Fairfax city town hall which is 1 mile from my house. Im off work Tuesday and Thursday this week and might pull the handle
I’d vote early. Never can tell what stunt the Democrats may pull to suppress turnout on election day. Really want to risk having to run a gauntlet of Antifa Terrorists and BLM peacefull rioters while standing in a line to vote?
We always vote early, use paper ballots, and watch them scan in. This year I wouldn’t be surprised if mail-in ballots won’t be destroyed by the commies or that there will be riots by the commies to stop people from voting on election day.
I love voting early. But then I trust our system. SE Texas, we are required to show ID and then we scan our own ballot and wait for the acknowledgment that the vote is registered. My early voting place is a small town community center with really diligent people watching everything. Ususally there are no more than 6 or 8 people at a time, this year the parking lot was full but it still went very quickly.
If any weather or sickness issues are potential issues on Election Day, I would vote early. However. I LOVE voting on Election Day. In Cali weather is usually not an issue. But this year I’m on the road traveling the week before and also have a very busy, stressful election week coming up. So may just get in my vote early. Then kick back and watch President Trump and the American people win one of the most important elections in our country’s history. Thank you freedom loving Americans!! Hard to resist the ritual of voting on Election Day.
I early voted. I feel confident in the early in person voting.
I usually absentee but did not trust the mail. Brought my ballot in when I went to in person vote. They were professional and marked it cancelled.
Im concerned with the lines and the many hours on Election Day in line.
Thats why I did early voting.
Just vote dingus, unless yer voting for Joe ;)
My vote got registered on 10/23
My family has all voted early last week. Two are elderly & cannot take the crowds/lines of ED. One of them got “curbside” service at the county voting office.;
I would highly recommend voting early ... in-person. The lines were long, especially with physical distancing in place (every 6’ was a circle - sort of like a kid’s game “hopping” from one to another). The line moved quickly - waited maybe 30 minutes. I think a lot of folks will be discouraged with long lines on ED & end up not voting - hopefully, Trump voters will “stay the course/line”.
Vote early in-person would be my recommendation. You also do not know what will happen on ED (violence, weather, COVID crackdowns, etc.). Trump needs EVERY vote!
Yeah vote early
Avoid huge crowds and possible malfunctions on election day
I’m planning (CA) to vote early (in person, not using the ballot they mailed me but turning that in and getting a new in person ballot) for the first time in my life.
I will ask that they destroy the mailed in ballot in front of my eyes but I don’t know if they do that.
Early voting starts Thurs—I will check the lines and if really bad will wait for a later early voting day (they are offering Thurs and Fri and Sat).
Otherwise I’ll vote in person on Nov 3, early.
If something is amiss and the early voting people tell me I can only vote provisionally for whatever reason in person, I will instead fill out my mail in ballot and put it in a drop box (not mail). Because provisional ballots are tossed. And absentee/mail in ballots are also tossed if the signature doesn’t match. And mailed in ballots are found in ditches on the sides of roads.
Seems like things are much more complicated this year.
