No. The Democrats and American Left could not organize anything, particularly society, on the scale and intensity that China does.
A much more likely scenario is South American kleptocracy. think of some kind of cross among Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela.

My wife is from Venezuela. Her family is still there because they love their country but hate Maduro. It’s sad to see recent photos of her family - some family members that were a bit on the chubby side are now below the weight that one should be and look too thin.
It all started with riot like protests of tearing down statues. Then after Chavez gained control he packed the court to get his way on everything. I think they went from like 9 justices to 12 or 15, then 23 and it could be up to 29 - 32 justices now.
Under Biden we WILL be on the fast track to Venezuela.
