It just doesn’t make sense. Fans would come out to see Bon Jovi in a casual environment even if they didn’t care about Joe. If they can pay crisis actors to riot they could certainly pay a few hundred or a thousand to come to a Biden rally. . . with Bon Jovi! No, they don’t WANT people there. I can’t figure out why. I thought maybe because they don’t want people to actually SEE him, but still that wouldn’t apply to the true believers.

I can’t speak to what lefty lunatics talk about when they’re alone but I have two observations.
The first is that the lockdowns have been directed by individual Premiers, similar to the US lockdowns being managed by Governors. Trudeau can certainly request, suggest and advise, but the Premiers have been in charge of lockdowns and mask mandates so far, and these have varied from municipality to municipality within a province.
The second observation is that Trudeau has only a minority government, meaning he has no authority to impose anything on his own. A minority government works similarly to a lame duck presidency in that for anything to move forward, it requires the support of at least some of the opposition. He’s already had the entire opposition coalesce to override his will on a couple of matters.
There’s some talk of the opposition filing a non-confidence motion. If enough of the opposition vote that they have no confidence in Trudeau’s ability to lead the country, we would have an election immediately. Nobody believes that Trudeau could win a majority if an election were called, so he’s been agreeing to various policy changes that he doesn’t necessarily support in order to keep his minority government.
My conclusion is that I don’t believe there would be enough support even among Trudeau’s own party members to create a camp for “refusers” like me or to introduce the plan the “insider” speaks of.
Well, that was indeed worth a gratifying two minutes!
