I attended a church lunch last week reporting on long term mission work in a Central American country.
Objectives were:
Evangelism
Mentoring of teen-aged children in the Central American
church
College/Junior College scholarships for these children
Combating “Human Trafficking”
When I asked the director of this 5+ year work what, exactly, was meant by “Human Trafficking” she told me that the basic problems was that mothers in that country were “pimping” their ~13 year old daughters for grocery money!
Utterly shattering!
