We had an absolutely HOF NBA announcer for the Sonics named Kevin Calaboro.
When Payton and Kemp would run the stuffing out of the opposition and Kemp would just thunder-dunk Calaboro would call out ‘Frying chickens in the barnyard!’
The afterburner thing made me think of that and laugh. Miss the Sonics here in Seattle. They really were a great team at the time - back when I was watching the NBA before the 2000-2001 strike.
