This is the fear. Bureaucrats want to feed their families and temporary programs mean that their families only get fed temporarily. As a result, Big Corona, the virus industrial complex, and Government Coronacrats all want the lockdown, mask mandates, mandatory testing, and daily/weekly virus reporting to continue permanently.
