If Biden would drop out, and I don’t for a minute see that happening, they would have to put Bernie in. The Bernie pros would not vote for anyone else.
They can’t put anyone else in now. The ballots are all printed and people have been voting for days. The Dem ticket is Biden/Harris no matter what happens now.
