One of Biden's ne'er do well brothers, James, owned property and spent a huge amount of time in the Virgin Islands. That's the same brother that worked for a company, Hillstone International, that was awarded billions of dollars in construction contracts in Iraq during the Obama administration. James sole purpose at the company seems to have been to make sure that the awarding of those contracts went off without a hitch, something that might have been helped by having the vice-president as your brother. The British Virgin Islands, right next door to the USVI, are a well known money hiding haven. It might stand to reason that some of James frequent trips to the virgin islands could have something to do with "investing" the incredible windfall that just happened to have come his way during that time period.
Not saying that's what happened, but it sure is "conveeeeeenient" as the Church Lady on SNL used to say.

And a US citizen is still required to report all worldwide income when they file their US tax return each year.
Ask any expat on the forum about the stupid rules in place to stop “money laundering” or tax evasion.

I was staying in St. Croix about 8 years ago and I noticed a bunch of unusual activity at the hotel (Divi Carina). Bartender told me that Louis Farrakhan was staying across the street in the secure part of the property they called “The Bungalows” or something like that. I kinda laughed and then he added, “And Joe Biden comes down here every year with his Secret Security detail and satellite communication trucks and takes over the Bungalows for a couple of weeks. Things that make you go hmmmmm!
