In my generation, among tradesman it was understood that you don't mess with someone's tools. Destroying a way to make a living was considered one of the lowest crimes imaginable. God help the tool thief if the tradesmen caught him.

This firebug needs to be caught and lynched. Quietly of course, just leave him dangling from some back road bridge.

More than likely, his farmowner insurance and vehicle insurance will cover the losses. But someone belongs behind bars.

About $350k for the combine USED. Probably close to $500K new.

A ballpark figure would be somewhere close to a million if it were all new. Used, probably 1/2 million. Plus the loss of his crops since he won;t be able to get them in in time.
