It is actually a pretty good movie.
Cruise is an excellent actor. He plays a good ol boy.
The funniest part of the movie is when he gets arrested at the Mena airport by everybody: The DEA, FBI, ATF, etc.
They drag him down to Little Rock and then the woman AG gets a call from Governor Bill. Bill says let Barry go.

“Bill says let Barry go.” is prolly right on the money
To me the funniest part is when the dirt bag CIA guy (Schaefer) looks back at Barry Seal as he is leaving and says “Who the F is Schaefer?”
I still use that line sometimes but no one ever gets it.
