Well, you are right. Simpler math just tells us that over 99 percent of those who contract this survive. And the less than 1 percent are often dear people who were vulnerable to the next opportunistic infection no matter what it was.

“Well, you are right. Simpler math just tells us that over 99 percent of those who contract this survive. And the less than 1 percent are often dear people who were vulnerable to the next opportunistic infection no matter what it was.”

Both lies. Although it might simply be confirmation bias on your part.

If you disagree, feel free to cite actual valid sources rather than hearsay.

According to the CDC’s numbers, as well as those reported by many other sources, the best case fatality rate anybody has achieved is till over 2.5% (not less than 1% as you claim). In 7 months, with 100 years of medical advances, we still have on average as many deaths per day as during the Spanish Flu. Without the travel bans and assorted mitigation efforts that you whine about there would be many more infections and many more dead. You are, in effect, complaining that a strategy was unnecessary because it was relatively successful. That’s kinda short sighted, doncha think? Oh, and your dismissal of the vulnerable as people that were going to kick it any time, anyway, is despicable.

Just for the record, the number of people that die in an average year from “just” the flu is 1,350. That’s a lot fewer than 6% of the 36 thousand deaths from flu and related illnesses. The 6% claim is a deliberate deception by the ODD crowd bleating about masks (they probably drive drunk, too). There are very few infectious diseases that do all the killing by themselves. Almost all simply pave the way for opportunistic infections that trigger septic shock or organ failure.

Did I mention how despicable your attitude regarding the lives of vulnerable old and sick folks is? It’s very Andrew Cuomo of you to dismiss those people as meaningless. Useless eaters, right, just like Mao saw them? Yeah. Who are you to decide on the value of a human life? Abortionist logic - they are just lumps of cells, to be retroactively aborted 50, 60, 70, 80 years after the fact, right?

If you absolutely have to bitch and moan, complain about China unleashing this thing on the world and China Joe enabling them.

“Simpler math just tells us that over 99”

His figure of 00.00069 is pretty simply arrived at.

That’s .069 percent that died.

That’s 99.93 percent that have lived.

So “over 99% lived is way too low. It should be over 99.9% lived.

less than 1 in 1000 have died.
