Most often it was Porky Pig, BUT occasionally Warner Bros. allowed Elmer the opportunity to say the famous line.

How do you know?

“I expressed a similar opinion at my dentist recently and they looked at me like I was from Mars.”

My dentist recently: “I wear a mask all day every workday and it doesn’t bother me at all. But when I wear one somewhere like the grocery store I feel like a donkey’s ass.”

But he wears it.

I live in south west PA.

Might see 1/3-1/2 of those in a grocery store with a mask, aside from employees.

We have had very little of the virus in this area.

Even though we live in a nominally blue state (communist governor, GOP legislature) that went for President Trump it's really of little consequence here.

I think 2 of the biggest vectors are the riots and public transportation, neither of which we have.

No sound....darn!!!!

Another poster however did say that occasionally Elmer Fudd was allowed to put the closing that’s all folks on the tag

So ...no, I did not lie.

Do you notice however that Porky pig does not have a Mask on!

They are not needed outside. Especially when no one else is around.

Out at White Rock Lake yesterday, it is a huge park as well.

There were actually idiots that are wearing masks AND face shields and there is no one within 50 feet of them.

It's amazing to see them and realize I have been surrounded by such profoundly stupid people all my life.

Now I know I suppose...

The math that I would support looks like this:

total population 330 million

numbers likely infected (from testing) 200 million

numbers dying with any trace of COVID19 ... 230,000

numbers likely dying primarily due to COVID19 ... 120,000

This tells me I have a 20 in 33 chance (about 60%) of being infected at some point (including the past, without knowing), and if so, a 12 in 10,000 or 1.2 in 1,000 chance of dying. One could adjust that by age and co-morbidity factors, in my case, I am at higher risk by age and lower risk by other factors having generally good health (also I am in Canada where rates are not quite as high but my numbers are for U.S. readers).

Since the thread is about mask compliance, I would add that there is probably no evidence to show that the kind of mask wearing that is expected of the general public in social situations has any actual effect on transmission rates, for one thing, people are having a lot of trouble hearing or understanding others and there is a tendency therefore for people to reduce their distance and speak loud through a mask which must reduce their ability to contain the spread of airborne particles. Then there is the factor of people placing masks on surfaces, discarding them in the street in urban areas, and overusing them once used.

We might be better off with just high-volume retail and service workers with masks and the general public unmasked.

“many liberals are scared half to death by this bullshiite.”

And I’m comfortable with that fact if it keeps them from voting in this election.

But after the election, this nonsense MUST end.

They don’t say anything when I don’t have it on. A lot of the employees don’t wear masks themselves. Some places are more relaxed than others.

I had two incidents where I was told I had to wear the mask. When I said I couldn’t because of health problems, they were actually very accommodating. A farmer’s market said I could go sit at a table and they would stand in line for me. My credit union saved me from a long line my asking me to go to my car and someone would come out and help me pick up check for car loan. They were friendly and prompt. Getting off my feet really helps my neck and back pain.

Actually, it’s 230,000 deaths COVID-19 related. The CDC says that only approximately 7% of these people who unfortunately died… Actually died “FROM” COVID-19. That’s 16,100 Let’s divide 16,100 by 330,000,000… Let’s do it together....4.787878 x 10e(-)5, or .00487878%. That’s 0.00487878 PERCENT.

160,000 of the deaths were 65 and up. In our county we have had 10 deaths all with serious comorbidities.

Out of 579 cases 84 have been in the over 60s groups.

We’ve never complied with all the rules. We never stopped working, we haven’t distanced ourselves from friends and family. Almost all of us have traveled to other states and stayed in motels, many of us have flown. We go out to eat regularly. We didn’t cancel our GD’s wedding and there were 420 guests, only 7 chose to wear masks. We only missed Mass 4 weeks and have gone weekly since.

We have a group that is fighting all the needless regulations but our elected officials won’t help at all.

BUT, most of our county is scared, most Protestant churches remain closed, one of the larger ones was going to open this weekend and the gov. reinstated a lot of regulations so they cancelled. The schools are doing distance learning and most are okay with it.

“We wear masks because our elders agree that meeting in person is better for most of the congregation.”

Our church members have NOT worn masks since it re-opened in early May. Out of about 150 people, maybe six might have masks on. And today I even noticed hugging among some of the members.

A trip to Walmart after church had even fewer of the masked ones than last week. It dwindles more each time we go. Nobody said anything to anyone about not wearing masks. Those without masks smiled broadly to other without them.

This is so over. The dictators will figure it out pretty soon, I guess.

We were originally thinking this thing could kill 2,000,000.

While it still is a smaller percentage, for a flu it is amazingly high.

Remember, we didn’t know jack about this thing in the early weeks and months.

Two weeks ago two new figures were revealed for San Diego County… Here’s the first

Rady’s children’s hospital… One of the most renowned children hospital in the world… Reported that they have seen an 80% increase year-over-year in emergency room child abuse cases.

The San Diego police department along with the sheriff’s department released a study that showed an over 800% increase in child online sexual predator activity year over year.

Now occasionally when someone asks me why I do not have a “mask on”… I simply tell them it’s for the children!!
