I understand why those with access to these emails may want to release them slowly. However, I also understand why people get annoyed when those people announce ahead of time that they are going to release more "soon." And then that announcement of "something big coming" is posted here on FR. Especially since a high percentage of these turn out to be nothing-burgers. That's why people say "Just release it already!"
They announce them ahead of time to get exposure.
It’s all about “hits”.
Also people on FR might already know 75% of this. So FR people want the gaps filled in. However, most people know nothing. So dribbles build up their knowledge. In this case there was no “tune in tomorrow.” Instead it was a bombshell in NYP. A series of bombshells will keep people glued to the story.
