They do security assessments for corporations and governments (municipal, etc.)
The hard drive was turned over to Rudy’s Lawyer. Who works for the same company. Rusty doesn’t “possess” the hard drive. His lawyer does.
This is all done to establish chain of evidence. I am sure there have been many, many forensic copies made of it by now.
Ah ok. I wasn’t sure what his current job would be that would give him access to such a protected/valuable piece of evidence.
