I think Hunter was used. It was all about Dad. Uncle Joe had the Family game going on. He himself got a cut and he got cash, and let boy-man take the Tax hits. I don’t know who mentored Uncle Joe the Stupid, but they were crooked.

No question. Hunter was just the bag man. I’m amused by Hunter’s bitter tone in his letter to his daughter - as if he’s somehow being taken advantage of by giving half of his cut to his father. It was his corrupt father who made it all possible in the first place.
