I’m pretty sure the computer shop guy would have recalled if it was a Chinese person who dropped it off. He left many messages with a Hunter. The Hunter’s lawyer never claimed they were stolen.
I think it was Hunter who dropped them off. He spilled something on it.
I still don’t see where one version is conflicting with another. Can you explain where this takes places?
The computer guy “Mac” also said that Hunter was kinda incredulous he didn’t recognize him or know who he was.

So, it was probably Hunter that dropped off the laptop.
