It’s something to do, and might pay for the groceries.

Whatever you do, don’t just sit around all day doing nothing and drive your wife nuts.

Every labradoodle I have met was a great dog. Smart, loyal, happy go lucky and fantastic at knowing what’s up. Expensive pups around here. The poodle in them makes them smart, the lab makes em lovable.

I've been retired for 6 years.

Am busier than ever.

Rebuilding Victorian era money pit.

Exploring in our Unimogs.

Volunteering for snowmobile clubs (Re decked a bridge, cleared a lot of brush and downed trees, put up and took down a LOT of signs, built racks for said signs, etc.)

Volunteering as a ham radio operator for New England Forest Rally, Climb to the Clouds,Susquahannock Trail Performance Rally and rally sprints. Also heavy extraction, using Unimog to extract rally cars the sweep teem couldn't get.

Doing genealogy research.

Building our Amsoil business. A great retirement business with little paperwork and few of the headaches of most businesses. edsanders.com

Trump’s election eased my retirement decision.

A biden win will make investment living much much harder. A biden retirement for cause will likely destroy us all.

We will never vote our way out of this mess leaving only one other viable alternative.

I worked in uniform in NY State's prison system. When I started, I was one of a handful of females at the facility I was sent to. I was already divorced by that time, and I thank God I had my two sons to keep me sane. As time went on, and they got older, I decided to go back to school, and eventually got my Masters degree. I never used my degree to get a different job. I'd already gotten seniority as a Sergeant, and was happy where I was. Taking a promotion, would have meant going down toward NY City for possibly years before I could transfer back home. I wasn't about to be inconvenienced by anything or anybody at that point in my life. Taking college courses helped keep me focused, and gave me some personal satisfaction, because the job wasn't one that you could go home from everyday, and feel you'd actually accomplished anything.

I'm glad you have been able to adjust to retirement, and have settled into a routine you are comfortable with. I have retired friends (I worked with the wife), and they feel they have to be doing something constantly, or they feel lost. For me, happiness is not having to be somewhere at a certain time...unless it's doctor appointments, and I try not to have many of them if I can help it. I hope you have a long, happy, and healthy retirement.

Get yourself some binoculars and spy on your neighbors!

Write "poison-pen letters" to the local paper about that new pastor you don't like!

Rummage through dumpsters, looking for salvageables!

The world is your oyster!

We’ve made lots of new friends here in North Idaho — it’s a very friendly place.

Beautiful area. Coeur d'Alene, Lake Pend Oreille, Priest Lakes and everything between. Problem is that little thing called winter. Lasts way too long up there! Great place for two and a half seasons.

The winter is the great test of character. Many don’t pass.

Ha! I’ve spent enough of my life “building character”. I just bought a new RV, so maybe I could just head south in November and come home in April or May.

There you go. You see enormous garages and pole barns all over North Idaho used to store motor homes!

"For me, happiness is not having to be somewhere at a certain time..."

That somewhat describes me. I have many interests. I pursue one until my interest is drawn to something else. I excel at inventing and starting projects. I don't insist on finishing them. It's the process that entertains me.

Health problems can interfere greatly. If not for the virus, my wife and I would be taking car trips to Arizona or Idaho.
