The unlicensed security guard who shot and killed a Navy veteran at a Patriot Muster rally attended Occupy Denver protests and shared far-left opinions on social media, DailyMail.com has learned.
Matthew Dolloff's ex-girlfriend spoke to DailyMail.com exclusively on Tuesday, sharing her shock at the news of his involvement in Saturday's fatal shooting along with several details about their time together.
The ex-girlfriend, who asked to remain anonymous, dated Dolloff right out of high school from 2010 to 2013. During that time they were both heavily involved in Occupy Denver - the local branch of Occupy Wall Street - and spent nearly two years protesting against economic inequality in the heart of the city, she said.
She said she lost touch with Dolloff after they broke up and hadn't thought about him in years before this weekend, when the 30-year-old made headlines nationwide after he shot dead Lee Keltner on Saturday afternoon outside Denver's Civic Center, where pro-police Patriot Muster supporters faced off with Black Lives Matter and Antifa counter-protesters.
Local TV station 9News hired Dolloff to protect staff covering the dueling protests through the Pinkerton security firm, which said it had sub-contracted him from another agency it declined to name. On Sunday it was confirmed Dolloff was not licensed to serve as a private security guard.

(Non-jokingly, I don’t actually see anyone of any race screwing with this guy in prison. A guy with the discipline to spend hours and hours practicing gun handling on his farm will likely not be someone anyone wants to mess with. While he shot at point-blank range, his presence of mind in lowering his weapon and not inadvertently committing suicide by cop seconds later was surprising).
The area where the property is located is not a farming area in the typical sense. It’s 5-10 acre ranchettes IIRC. A big gate, no barbed wire and a few exotic animals or horses is typical.
Pinkerton has a history that is not something to brag about. They have had powerful friends to cover for their misdeeds.

incidentally, what is now lost in all the MSM coverage and discussion is the initial claim that the 9News/”security”/agitator & photojournalist of Denver Post MADE THE MOVE TO THE PATRIOTS.

Only problem he has is he won’t have access to a pistol in prison. Hopefully the victim’s family can gain influence with some insiders who can reach out and “touch” the killer.
