True story.
Be me. Go to McDonalds. Order a meal. Comes to $6.13. Give attendant a 10. She rings it up before I pull a quarter out and put it on the counter.
See panicked look on her face. Say, "Just give me three tens and a five."
She takes money out of register. I have to stop her and explain it was a joke. She doesn't get the joke.
True story.
Went shopping with Grandma in The Big Town during an afternoon storm.
Walked into the store, picked up a cart and were about to begin shopping just as a nearby lightning strike a) Momentarily turned out lighting and b) Apparently rebooted every computer in the building.
The whole place ground to an immediate halt.
After briefly watching the resulting little lost lamb looks around us, Grandma put the cart back and we left.
(Including opening the door by hand to the amazement of those stuck in the entry/exit area)
I told a kid to round $21.13 to $21.50 as a contribution- he almost cried.
After watching him for a minute I told him the amount.
