Our youngest son was absolutely fearless. We couldn’t keep him in a stroller and, in stores he would head for the doors and try to go outside.
So, we got a harness and leash. That lasted less than 5 minutes. He simply laid down in the floor of the store and refused to stand up as long as he had the harness on.
Yes, he was a handful and it was a fulltime job keeping him alive for several years.
When I had two 18 months apart the older one was harnessed every time I had to go out in Miami. Couldn’t afford a stroller. had to carry the baby. That was 1953.
