With enough people on the ground in key precincts, those people can report back periodically about their encounters with voters. This would provide a far more detailed read on the electorate than any pollster could possibly afford.
I am not sure I’ve seen a POTUS election in the past 20 years where a camp didn’t have “internal” polls showing them winning the election. If they didn’t, they certainly wouldn’t say it.
I want to believe it, but my gut says when you pull money out of battleground states like Ohio, and put it into supposedly 'safe' southern states, something not so good is afoot.
