Doesn’t even have to be straight 180 proof, needs to be 60% alcohol which would be about 120 proof, so the everclear could be somewhat diluted.

I read that because the demand was so high, the distillers didn’t filter the product any more than absolutely necessary so it smells like the worst sort of rotgut instead of the clean crisp smell of isopropyl or fine triple filtered vodka for that matter.
