I was in San Jose, Puerto Rico at the Marriott across the street from the main docks when the trouble in the government hit and cruises were cancelled. I was on a consulting assignment so was flying in weekly for several months.
It devastated the local economy. The collateral damage from cruise cancellations has to be enormous. I am aware the States in this country's reaction to COVID has also decimated small businesses especially restaurants.
Some places around the world have not had serious reactions to Covid but the lack of tourists has killed their businesses, like Skagway Alaska in this Article. -Tom

I am aware the States in this country's reaction to COVID has also decimated small businesses especially restaurants.We have eaten at and ordered takeout from our local pub more often than we did during normal times. We want them to still be around when normal returns!
