This note says that he received NO oxygen at the hospital, that contradicts some stories that have claimed he had an oxygen incident on Saturday.
The note says “since initial hospitalization.” Which means at initial hospitalization he did receive supplemental oxygen, and he had first received supplemental oxygen at the White House, which is what prompted his medial team to transfer him to Walter Reed in the first place.
Read it again. Says he received no oxygen SINCE initial hospitalization.
It says “no oxygen since initial hospitalization”. That’s a 24 hour period. Hospital days are measured from time of arrival, the first day usually referred to as “observation”, unless the patient was a “direct admit”, as the president most likely was, but that doesn’t keep that first 24 hours from being the “initial hospitalization”. (All set up by Medicare and insurance companies, because some Medicare or insurance benefits are determined by whether a patient is an “admit” or an “observation patient”)
If rules have changed since I’ve retired, let me know.
