It's their religion. Normal people would see the problem and adjust accordingly. For them, this is something holy and the end goal of "utopia." But it's never going to be achieved, it can't. It just results in perpetual misery, perpetual anger, perpetual struggle, perpetual destruction. Like Sisyphus pushing the rock up the mountain that will always roll down. Not until they reject it and embrace God will the cycle finally break for them.
