He actually wasn’t asked to condemn them. This is a lie.
Wallace asked 2 things at once.
He asked Trump to condemn “White supremacists”, “Militia”, and the “Right Wing”. He also asked Trump to ask groups supporting him to “stand down”, and Biden named Proud Boys as one of those groups.
The only thing Trump did wrong was to say “Stand back” instead of “Stand down”. A simple mistake, that he corrected the next day, and yet the media still pretends the mistake was a call to a group Trump really didn’t even know much about.

I stopped reading at the lie “violent far-right group”. They’ve been portrayed as White supremacists, but have a black leader.
