IIRC, Lee said he had trouble when he first went to a school and them became friends with the guys he had trouble with.
It's likely Lee was jealous of the Italians sticking together for their community; unlike blacks always holding endless neighborhood meetings talking about standing up for each other.
Outside the hoods extorting money the Italian community was probably pretty stable and safe.
Lee likely sees it as a form of systemic racism.

Milla Jovovich plays the hooker...Washington’s character convinces her to stop working as a hooker and return to her small town...
Jim Brown plays a state parole agent who is handling Washington’s character...Washington’s character is supposed to convince his son to go to certain university...
HE GOT GAME is the only Spike Lee film that I ever watched...
Spike Lee also made a World War 2 movie about black soldiers fighting in Italy...MIRACLE AT ST.ANNA...

We watched He Got Game only recently. We are a basketball family. I thought it was pretty good. Yes I saw Miracle at Santa Anna. It was beautiful. I liked Do the Right Thing. Though not a fan of Spike Lee or his politics.
Personal insults are unnecessary and beneath you. I’m sure you were raised better.
