I live in Spanish Fort, which is straight across Mobile Bay from Mobile, and I can attest that we would NOT fault a Yankee for saying Y’all. Now then, if a Yankee even tried a Bless Your Heart, we’d yank a knot in his azz quick fast.

We’d climb on top and watch the lights and traffic coming up over the bay
Lake Forest was just being built and the old Shell station next to where you turned to go to Malbis was only gas option till Fairhope
Eastern shore was quaint then except for Point Clear and Montrose which were fancy
