I agree, well past its best if used by date. Eliminate ATF, DEA and other rogue agencies. Combine FBI/DEA/ATF with DHS Force protective services. Federal police department broken down into different functional areas. Same jobs, but the leadership is not approved by Congress. We still need a federal police force capable of working across state lines. The recent sex trafficking arrests and rescues shows that. The various department heads are appointed by the Attorney General and approved by the President. New President, new Attorney General, new Department heads. President can fire department heads at will no GS BS job protection for appointed offices.

It’s always surprised me the federal government has had so many separate law agencies. I realize most of them grew as their own little fiefdoms within or near various regulatory agencies, but still, it seems like there should’ve been greater oversight or at least a better melding of agency functions.

I hate to say it, but Barack Obama probably went further in knitting these agencies together than any other recent administration...in his efforts to destroy this President & country.

If they eliminate the ATFE I’m taking the name for my one stop party store in West Virginia!
