I had a guy on my crew back in the 90s who was wearing a t-shirt with “ silly faghot,diks are for chicks”. Another guy,another day had a t-shirt that said “ Shut up Bitch”. I had to have company t-shirts made with my logo and it was mandatory apparel cause there were too many complaints.

The construction business? I was a carpenter in the ‘70s and ‘80s. I never saw a t-shirt like those but I will attest to the “rugged individualism,” for lack of a better phrase, in the trades.
My first few years the crew I was on was building custom-spec homes so no home owners came around to be offended by anything. It was nice. No one stepped on our job sites.
