Nice job, but a cowboy could have done the same with less risk that the dog would have been scared enough to jump or slip.
Watched a tree trimmer cut down a tree today. It took him almost 30 minutes to gear up, harness etc.
Climbed tree in a minute, had it totally cut down in 5. Him and another had it thrown in a dump trailer in another 5 minutes.
I could have down the same without spending 30 minutes putting on harness and spikes to climb.
It was a simple job, but they made it look technical and expensive.
5 mins? Must have been one heck of a small tree. A tree trimmer took out the 80 foot tree behind our house two years ago. Harnessed up in about 5 mins, but it took him about 6 hours to take the tree all the way down. And he was working non-stop.
Abraham Lincoln once said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”
Did they use electric chain saws?
A neighbor had a large tree split and all but the largest saws they used were battery powered!
The workmen’s comp insurance for tree trimmers is higher than roofers.

The last time I did a payroll for roofers, the WC was 105% of the gross paycheck. That was 28 years ago.
