I have another cataract Vision question. IF my vision is 20/20 so I don’t need glasses for far vision, and if I don’t get progressive lenses for reading, how would I handle going to the store? I would need to read at all different lengths to be able to read the labels. So do you wear your reading glasses for that? Would they be of the strength for reading or a computer strength? Seems like I would have to be switching glasses all the time!

I only need 1.5 or 1.75 for readers so I can actually read most everything except the tiniest print without them. I carry a pair in my purse in case I want to read something microscopic on a box or bottle in the store. The dollar store glasses are handy to have in each room which I prefer over wearing a pair on a chain, etc.

Some people also need some kind of laser treatment in the weeks after cataract surgery. My sister did but I did not. It takes seconds to perform and you are good to go immediately if you need it.

Before my surgery I couldn’t see down the isle without my glasses, but couldn’t read labels with my glasses. It was that way for everything, constantly putting on, taking off. That’s why i got surgery in one eye, so I wouldn’t have to wear glasses at all.

What about those necklaces that attach to glasses, do they still make those?
