I have been wondering about this. Wow! About 75,000 flu deaths in the 2018 to 19 season and almost 0 in the 2019 to 20 season. It definitely sounds like a bit of statistics manipulation

Everything the CDC does for flu is based on estimates.

Last year's death estimate was 22,000.
They used to give death "range" estimates.
